​Dr. Morris-Rutledge is interested in studying teacher attitudes and perceptions of English Language Learners (ELL), in mainstreaming ELL students, and in professional and curriculum development in ELL student issues.

Workshop Description:

 

ELL students continue to represent the fastest growing student population in U.S. public schools, yet they are not receiving sufficient support from the school community.  An integrated and collaborative approach is required  to serve this population. The purpose of this presentation is assist classroom teachers in adapting their instruction for ELLs in English language arts classrooms.
